Dear friend,
Yeah, I’m talking to you. The one reading this. My name is Merah. Welcome to my corner of the internet. Keep reading, because this letter is for you! ;)
No matter where you are, or what you’ve faced today or this week, I want to meet you right where you’re at. So, take a deep breath with me. Let’s take the time to slow down and reflect.
I’m coming to you today because I believe… my friend, it’s about time! It’s about time that you get a little pick me up.
And no, I’m not talking about coffee or caffeine today… or a piece of chocolate. Or ice cream. Hello? Yum! Hey, I’ll be honest, the moment I get some ice cream, especially with a dark chocolate shell, I am encouraged to say the least. I feel better. And after two of them, I feel WAY better. Anyway, let’s stay on track here.
Ponder on this with me. When was the last time you heard a message that changed your perspective? Perhaps someone approached you or sent you a message. Maybe it was a quote in a book you recently read. What about a recent YouTube video? Bonus points if they even made you smile. Hopefully, for you, it wasn’t too long ago. :)
I’m reaching towards filling your heart yet again with that same goodness. I’m talking about encouragement! You never know, it could change someone’s life. You are alive today and reading this letter. So, GUESS WHAT? You are living proof that one encouraging word can change everything.
The kind of encouragement I believe that can change a life is a reminder. That you’re on the right path, that it’s going to be okay, the beauty found in the simplest things. All this and more!
A few years ago, the Lord gave me a reminder that He wants you to know today. It burns so deeply in my heart. But even more, it is the Lord’s passion. To remind your heart.
Yes, I’m talking about God, the creator of all things and the one who values you more than anything. He’s the kind that not only buys a greeting card and signs His name. He fills the entire second half with reminders and truth. Imagine someone caring for you that much! Well, you don’t have to imagine it. Because it’s true!
I’d like to remind your soul today of who you are.
KNOWN.
God knows you. And He sees you. You are valid. You are enough because He is the God of more than enough.
You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways. – Psalm 139: 1-3
NOT
FORGOTTEN.
In God's eyes, you are not only seen. You are also not left out. And you are not second best. You are priceless! Self-worth is such an important thing to possess in life. So many circumstances and pressures try to lessen it. But in the Lord, your worth will never decrease. You are not a mistake. And you are not an accident. Instead, you are here on purpose! You are a masterpiece.
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. – Luke 12: 6-7
LOVED.
In case you didn't know, God loves you. so much that He died to show you.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. – John 3: 16
